Anybody been to Benidorm.......? Looking to go in early September but few of my colleagues have said that its very boring and full of old people :confused:

its where old people go to die.

its like the ex pats version of bognor regis some1 i work with worked out there for a year and my g/f nan lives 3 miles up the coast.

Altho im heading there this september (with the g/f to see her nan and have a bit of a holiday)

I've been there, didn't really find much to do. I've been told my mistake was in visiting during the day.

I've been told were seeing some1 called stick vicky or juicey lucy or something equally as aweful its an old woman who pull items such as flags from somewhere i flag should not go.

In winter it's full of old people.

In summer it's full of football shirt wearing two can Van Damme's.

I went there last year with some lads from work and I hated it.

I was coaxed into going there once with family, Really doubt I'd go again, the tv show is actually very realistic...

Benidorm and more importantly All inclusive is summed up with one line from the TV Show... "Here ya go love... have a Burger... They are not very nice but you can have as many as you want"

Head about 2 hrs up the coast to Xabia (Javea) - significantly nicer.

To be honest, the old town wasn't that bad, had some nice real tapas bars, but everwhere else... It's basically blackpool with a bit of sun. Canary islands would be a better shout indeed.

This, except I don't think it's as much as 2 hours. 1 hour at the outside, surely?

My parents have a house in Moraira which is about half an hour from Javea. Lucky!

I went to benidorm as a teenager. It's good for getting absolutely wasted, but not worth going otherwise
