benq ex3203r refresh rate issues

Hi i have a new benq3203r monitor and vega64 gpu. I have set it up using the suplied hdmi cable. Now when i try to change the refresh rate in windows (10) it only gives me 60 htz or 100 htz options but the monitor is 144 htz .. I don't have a display port cable but surley the suplied hdmi cable should be ok .. The monitor is suposed to do 144htz over hdmi?

I should have known,it needed a displayport cable!

dual-link DVI will also work.

No dvi on monitor or gpu. But all is good with display port now.

Hey, I'm having similar problems with Ex3203r and vega 64. I'm using Dp1.4 on win7 and the max refresh option is 120htz. Tried radeon settings custom resolution and it says 144 is not compatible. Any ideas?

I found the problem/ solution- though I don't claim to understand it!

The monitor has a 'premium' freesync option. With that enabled the max refresh available seems to be 120hz- turn it to normal freesync and you can choose 144hz. Now I just have to find out if the premium option is worth it :S
Anyways, posting as it may help some one in the future.

Is this monitor working in G-Sync mode without any issues?

no , it needs a very simple fix with custom resolution utility, then it works perfectly.
