i have the xl2410t monitor on a gforce gtx 580.

when i try to turn on stereoscopic i get a message in red writing on the screen saying
Warning: trying to run strereoscopic 3d in a non-stereo display mode. see documentation for acceptable stereoscopic 3D modes
and then i just get the message saying hardware failed...
does anyone know how to correct this? ive reinstalled drivers etc and read through the documentation but cant seem to figure it out?

I'd advise you on changing that text colour, extremely hard to read, well for me it is anyway.

Was your monitor meant for 3D? have you activated nVidia 3D thing? i dont know about it but try everything.

yeah got that kit, with the ir receiver all plugged in and recognised, glasses charged up etc..
if i didnt have that i dont think it would give me this error, it says " trying to run strereoscopic 3d in a non-stereo display mode." which is why i think it must be the monitor but i spose it could be the gfx card?

OK mate, firstly make sure you enable stereoscopic 3d, 1920x1080 res. As my set up is exactly the same as yours I found after I did this it still didn't work. If this is the case for you too then it is almost certain you have the wrong 3d vision usb driver installed. Go to nvidia and download graphics driver version 266.58 and install if you havn't already, then search the site for 3d vision controller driver v266.21 and install that.
Now run the set up wizard for your 3d vision kit again and all should be well. good luck

i have this monitor and i had the same at first but i went to nvidia control panel and turned hurtz up to 120 and screen to 1920 x 1080 then in the games them selves you need to change there res to 1920 x 1080 or that will give you the same error (in red )

that fixed it for me
