Looking at this same monitor myself, early reviews when it was released last year weren't good, there was some issues with overdrive trailing, but according to some owners on another forum updated firmware has fixed this problem.

Yeah i heard the same thing also. They released a new batch of BenQ's XL24's not so long ago and mentioned that this revision didn't need to be calibrated (OSD) to fit your liking like the old batch did.
