but there is still nothing on the market worthy enough for me to upgrade... 1080p 120hz gaming is perfectly fine in the games i play 950D is still one of the best TN panels around!
Cost... when you can buy a perfectly good monitor for a couple hundred quid, it's a hard sell for a £700+ one. We need more panels and more models before it starts to proliferate, and it'll be next gen GPUs before that starts to happen, as only then will we start to see faster refresh versions that can compete on pure spec with many of the cheaper high end 16:9 monitors available today.
It's inevitable this will happen though IMO, just as the move from 4:3 to 16:9 was. But it will take a while. As you say it has very few drawbacks and most people who convert can never go back. The only restriction for some is the space they take up on the desk lol! At the end of the day, it just needs to become more affordable for your average PC owner, but that won't be for some time yet unfortunately.
Mate I used to think the exact same. I had an ASUS VG278HE for years, 27" 1080p and 144hz. Thought it was absolutely mint. Then I bought a ROG Swift... It just blew it out of the water. I could never go back to 1080p at that size again! It's just a different world!
If this monitor was 1440p I would order one right now
guys about the Benq 35XR01 144 hz
I heard different versions were made. A sort of revision...
It is true? I saw some review in which input lag and response time were high up to 23 ms, but this one show very low input lag 10 ms and good response time:
