BeQuiet 600W Gold Rated PSU - Less than £50

Will this be suitable for a 4.6ghz+ 2500k, one of AMDs soon to be released cards (or a 580 for comparison) and 16gb ram? I might have to take the offer up if it is :p

Easily enough. An OCZ 600w PSU powers the rig in my sig.

I bought one of these to replace my Corsair TX750 out on RMA. Which PSU should I keep? This one or my TX750 when it comes back?

Don't know much about PSUs so don't know which one is best.

Personally, I'd stick with Corsair as they have a great name for reliability and legendary Customer Service (which I've never used... yet). I think the TX have a 5 year warranty, my HX has 7 years.

Warranties aside, this is a cracking deal for £65 - for £50 it's a giveaway. You won't find a decent 80+Gold PSU to touch it at that price.
(Try and find a few reviews first - make sure it has Solid Jap Caps, low ripple/noise etc - but I'd be surprised if a BeQuiet/FSP unit didn't.)

750W gives you more room for expansion/SLI etc, but if you're sure 600W is enough, Go fo Gold!

I believe FSP are the OEM for these.

Correct.

Anybody found any reviews for these units? Spec looks very good for the price.

It's based on the FSP Aurum Gold platform.

No point in sticking with Corsair, there's almost ALWAYS something better for the price.

Whoa whoa whoa this is an FSP Aurum Gold for half the price?!?!?!?

Bought. I was torn between this and the Aurum but if it the same damn thing then you'd have to be retarded not to buy this.

Also seeing as the main gripe most people have with the Aurum is the noisy fan and this has a quiet BeQuiet fan in.

Would it be possible to include some pics of your purchase? :D

Also, +1 to know when this offer will end.

Yeah it's the Aurum Gold platform, except the cables aren't sleeved and the caps are mainly Teapo/CapXon (The original Aurum uses a few Jap caps.)

Apart from that the platform is identical though the ripple suppression might be slightly worse due to the lesser quality caps (which are still good - just not as good as Rubycon/Nippon chemicon).

Yeah at that price you can't expect to get Jap caps but if you are getting 80+ Gold efficiency that is less of an issue.

Just took delivery of one of these. Build quality looks excellent. Got a question though: I ran out of 4-pin sockets for my case fans. Just need one more socket for the fan in the side panel. Anything I can do to power it?
