Does anyone here have or used a Beresford TC7510 DAC - been offered one at a good price and i can only assume it will be better than the DAC in my Yammy 2700.

I have been looking at options, my main setup is needing HDMI for ease of use so has ruled out some of the good pre/power setups you can buy cheaply these days - will keep saving for the Meridian ;)

Main source will be from my Sonos ZP and all ALAC ripped.

I got one a couple of months ago and it sounded great - but I got rid of it. Lack of funds etc. All my music sounded so much cleaner and crisper. If you want your music to sound warm though Id stay well away from it.

I've owner a mk 6.something or other. I know that Stanley loves developing them and there's plenty of owners happy to state that every new variant is "killer" better than the older one.

For the money, I thought that it was pretty good.
Unfortunately, really wasn't to my taste. Sounds detailed, but that's partly because of it's very dry presentation style. In short, it depends upon your personal preferences and system.

It'll certainly sound different to your Yam, whether that's what you want is another matter.
Personally I sold mine and at that price, my preference would be either a Behringer SRC2496, or the NOS DAC that I bought some years ago, and still sounds lovely and organic, if a little lacking in air and detail when compared to the better upsamplers around.
