Berghaus jacket

Isn't this chav obsession getting a little tiresome? I think we just need to get on with our lives and not consider things as superficial as what a particular media-created social group are wearing...

imo you are paying the ££ for the name, ive read that there are better jackets out there that are much cheaper, but dont have the "berghaus, TNF or Sprayway" written on them.

im in search of such a jacket so if you have any clues to which ones they are please post! :)

Dont think I've ever seen a chav round here wearing Berghaus, I've got one of their jackets and its about as indiscreet and 'sensible' as you can get.

I wouldn't ever say don't wear it just because some idiot in liverpool does - your not gonna see them half way up a welsh mountain are you?

Maybe not but they aren't just restricted to Liverpool either ;)

Chav's wear pretty much anything these days, you should avoid:

1) Rockport boots with rolled up visable socks coupled with tracksuit bottoms
2) Black shott NYC hoodies
3) Green/grey/blue Lacoste Tracksuits
4) Stone Island (all)
5) Burberry hats

I just bought myself an O'neil snowboarding jacket, much like the berghaus ones but less a'lot less chavy.

I wasn't aware O'Neill produced jackets with breathable fabrics such as GORE-TEX?

Berghaus and North Face make jackets of similar quality but you will pay a little more for the NF because of the name.

Arc'teryx make the best technical jackets. FACT

I've recently bought a berghaus jacket see here and I think it depends which coat you buy as to whether you look "chav" or not. I refuse to let the chav culture dictate what I buy and what I dont. If you like something that should be all there is to it tbh

FACT? Who's fact? Your fact? The bloke down the pub fact? A PFY in Millets on a Saturday morning fact?

I have a Berghaus jacket and its the best jacket I have ever owned. Been to the top of mountains, race tracks and all sorts wearing it. Keeps me warm and it very comfortable. Also have a Berghaus backpack which I use everyday and also some hiking boots :)
Good stuff imo.

Most of my Berghause stuff has been bought from a local caravan/camping centre. I own a big Gore tex jacket - Mera Peak - look like a postman :), 2 fleeces, 1 light rain jacket - numerous hats, gloves and pair of gore tex boots for walking my dog :)

I bought Berghaus after a recomendation from a friend who was in the Army and told me all the guys bought them due to the quality of the brand.

I've had good service from the Shop/Berghaus.

I've had a faulty pair of boots (11 months old) - returned to Berghause and replaced with a brand new pair. I had a new pair of gloves faulty and again replaced no questions asked.

I've never seen any chavs round my area wearing Berghaus usually Addidas or Nike and trainers/rockports.
