...is the second in BBC2's 'Inside No.9' by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith (League of Gentlemen, etc). The first episode* was clever and funny, but didn't make the earth move for me. Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room is a work of quiet, heartfelt genius.

Available on iPlayer.

*Episode's the wrong word. They're independent of each other, connected only by the number '9', I believe.

This season so far hasnt been as good as the previous seasons imo. The first few seasons in particular were very good, some superb episodes, the Sheridan Smith episode for example. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this season though as each season has had at least one very good episode in it.

I really liked Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room. Pemberton's charcter on this one is a like a mixed version of Pauline and Les from Crème Brulee.

This was so emotional!
I'm a strange person, I can watch something with emotion but not bat an eyelid, but then I can watch something with just a little emotion and it can actually feel moving.
I hadn't worked out the "twist" on this one until quite late, but once it hit - once you realised this one person was going through, what he had sacrificed just so his best friend would be OK.....wow.
