Hello,

As it's coming up to Christmas I'm looking at upgrading the HDD in my 13" MBP and I would like to venture into the SSD market, for performance and stability.

My current HDD is the standard 320GB which came with the MBP and it's okay, but its not fast and I feel as though my MBP could benefit from a performance increase.

I'm looking at buying a 120GB+ SSD as this will allow enough space for storage, I would go for a 60GB but I think 120GB+ will be more cost effective.

I've been looking over all of the SSDs Overclockers have to offer, but I'm unsure which would be the best.

All help is appreciated :) :D

whats your budget ??? Crucial M4s are used a lot in Macs along with Samsungs 830, have a 256gb M4 in my 2009 MBP and its fast as hell with a boot time under 20 seconds, have optibay in as well with a 400Gb wd blue for extra storage

I'd probably say around £150, but the possibility of stretching if there is a better SSD in that price range. That boot time is nice, mine takes forever and even shutting down takes a while.

£150 should just be able to push an M4 or 830 256gb ;)

Best two brands out there, every man and his dog has one/recommends them, mostly because they are the fastest and have the least failure rates.

the 128gb ones should be about 80-90 quid, which is good, but if you can push for the double size then bigger is always better in this case.

Think I may go for the M4 :D
