Best 240GB SSD....

Hi all been lookiong for a bigger SSD to replace my 60gb Vertex 2e and have my eye on the Corsair Force 3 240GB.

Are there any inherent problems with these drives or is there something i'm missing i.e something which is miles quicker/reliable for the same price?

Can anyone offer any advice?

I'm going to sound like a stuck record but personally i'd be looking at the Crucial M4 or the Samsung 830, simply because that way you avoid the risk of having BSOD problems with the Sandforce controllers, but still get a very quick drive.

Are the Sandforce ones really that bad? Never had a problem with my 60GB Vertex2e

Well I ran a Vertex 2E for a few months last year and it was rock solid and quick. There's no guarantee you will get problems, but then there's no guarantee you won't either.

Given the price and performance of the M4 and 830 SSDs, there's just no need to buy a Sandforce drive and take the risk, no matter how small, if you get what I mean.
