best 3 monitor setup

Hi all,

Im currently using a dell u3011 and want to get a 3 monitor setup,

Whats the ideal size 3 x 24" etc and best brand not bothered about 3d

and it would be for gaming

What would be your budget for 3 monitors?

Also what graphics card, or cards, do you have?

Hi budget could be around £900,

I have a 4gb EVGA 670 OC and 3 x 6970 in trifire

Im sure OC done a bundle deal a while back on 3 Samsungs that would have been ideal

as it included the stand

Make sure you get IPS panels for multiple monitor setups, viewing angles become VERY important with this usage DOUBLY so if you ever plan to use any in portrait mode.

Not sure what other panel types sport IPS viewing angles but make sure you check.

This means you have to pass on 120Hz however but I guess it is ultimately down to you.

I have three 120hz screens and they are sensitive to viewing angles but its much worse in the vertical than horizontal plane so i have them in a panoramic setup, and i have all three angled so they are the same distance and appropriate angle to me and it works great no viewing angle issues. Its somewhat sensitive to how you have everything setup, i use a corner desk and it works perfectly.

I have a dell ips screen on my second pc so can apprecate the benefit and would agree if your not bothering with 3d then ips screens are better however for gaming i really appreciate the extra fps ability, although unless you have very meaty gfx setup its not something thats easy to take advantage of over 3 screens.

Im sure my 4gb evga 670 will cope if not I will get a second one now for a triple monitor stand
