I've seen both bands live and they are terrible. Want to see a proper live performance, go see Rammstein. Their live performance is better than the album version. Check out 'Live aus Berlin'.

You talk about SOAD being talented then Yes they are but LP are talented too because they wrote their own music and have their own style that suits them.

If you want to talk about a band being talented then forget about those bands.

Try comparing them to the likes of Emperor. Thats talent. Released their first album by the time they were 16. Read their lyrics. Ihsahn the song writter/vocalist of Emperor is a God like figure compared to those in LP & SOAD. Don't say a band is talented because of a few rare drum beats, that just rubbish. Lyrics count also and I don't think the lyrics to LP & SOAD are breath taking are they?? No they are not.

Don't say a band has talent until you know what talent is and to find that out, check out some other bands like the one mentioned above.

Relax. I don't like SOAD, I don't like LP. But SOAD's vocalist isn't a bad singer, unlike LP's. And yes, I've seen them live and have a concert on CD too. I like Rammstein, I have their Live Aus Berlin and its great. Besides, I still stand by what I said, SOAD have talent. SOAD haven't sampled their drums afaik.

The reason I believe that people say they are manufactured is that they are told what to do by their record company. I doubt very much that they toured for years and working their asses off to be able to release a cd out like most metal bands. They are purely manufactured after Limp Bizkit for the Nu-metal Kerrang generation. No other reason. They have no solos in their music-probably because the record company told them not to. Actually he probably can’t play them –lol. There are far more talented musicians out there who deserve more support than them.

Urrm, there not Slayer or Iron Maiden m8y, besides inless its live guitar solos are just really annoying.

at the end of the day if u like there music nothing matters, and if u dont like them why go on about it so much.

guitar solos are NOT really annoying, a decent solo in a song sometimes makes all the difference. take the solo in Metallica - ride the lightning or any of Steve Vai's stuff, they make a good song even better

ok sorry, I ment MOST of the guitar solos Ive heard kinda get on my nerves, but live well thats a differant story espeically if its Slayer :D
 
Ok, don't want this to get out of hand before I begin. I appreciate everyone has there own opinions.

Sorry but I am completely solo obsessed so I might give a barest view at times. Regarding LP I wasn't saying that they shouldn't or should have solos, I was saying that they have no choice.

Shotgun_Ned - Vai is quality. :D He is one of the most acomplised guitarists ever IMO.

Yep you are correct. They sing in German but have some of the tunes in English which still sound great.

Music is Music and doesn't have to be in English.

One of the things that makes Rammstein so good is the fact that their music sounds so great in German but better if you undertand the language.

When you read the lyrics you better not want to have the music blairing out loud if it was in english cause the folk around would be complaining that it was so offensive.

Ask a German what they think of Rammstein?
Their reply would be, ah they are so mean and their lyrics are cruel but the music for the lyrics is remarkable.
