best 7 inch tablet

Bit pricey for me but thanks for the suggestion
Looking good.8" is maybe slightly too big,using a 10" atm and it is not `a lot` bigger

size-wise (and weight), it's just only a tiny bit bigger than a nexus 7 2013
nexus 7 2013: 200 mm × 114 mm × 8.65 mm, 290g
lenovo tab 4 8 plus: 210.6 mm x 123 x 7 mm, 300g
reason i'm suggesting it is that my nexus 7 2013 died just a short while ago, and the tab 4 8 plus is, from my research a good successor to the nexus 7.

so i wouldn't discount it "just because" it's an 8 inch tab, not a 7.

I've used an hp windows 7" slate around house for several years ... 7" can be a bit small depending on your dexterity with a touch interface.
I was considering xiaomi mi pad 4, as an 8" android replacement

several deals posted on hotuk, but you have to purchase via aliexpress/bangagood so the guarantee issue could be problematic.

I've been looking for a circa 8" tablet and while it's specs arent anything ground breaking, the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A is expexted to be released pretty soon!
I think I'll be picking one up to replace my ageing Xperia Z3 Compact that only has 16GB of internal memory (apps are getting too big and it's filled up!)
