What is the best GPU 7950 out on the market currently and how can I decide?

I was leaning towards Gigabyte ATi Radeon GD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB, however there are a number of reviews which state Sapphire is one of the best.

I'd suggest a browse on the graphics section of the forums ;) Have a think about requirements other than the GPU such as noise. Some cards can whack out the decibels as well as the FPS ;)

IC3, do you have that card and if so what vrm temps does it get under Max OC on Heaven benchmark.:)

I'm currently waiting intill it will be in stock. But I did lots of research and on most of reviews the card is chilly and quiet. 7970 pcb, cooled vram, the cards from all cools the fastest.

+1,

One of the most asked questions over and over, a simple browse through the forum will see multiple threads all asking the same question.

His IceQ is the one to get.

I have tested both of them in my main rig roly, just giving my honest opinion on my experience using both of them-I'm not providing a baos view, as I don't currently use any, just giving my tuppence on two good 79's.:)

The WF developed a fault after 5 days or so, but I put it through it's paces the same as the IceQ that I pushed as well.

Two totally different coolers I may add(pretty obvious really) but as I stated the IceQ would have been the better gpu for my needs and I wouldn't have sent it back if it didn't have an ever so slight 'grating' noise@idle(which was also picked up on a review so it's probably a characteristic of the cooler).

I'm anal about noise and if I can hear a gpu fan over my almost silent case, then It's not for me, whereas the WF was inaudible in my rig@idle and if it never broke I would have probably kept it too, but it does get very noisy as soon as temps hit 60c where as the IceQ has a less intrusive noise under load while dumping ~90% of it's waste air outside your rig.
