As title but I need to increase the range of my wireless connection to go the length of a 20 foot corridor in to and through a second room to reach an adjoining third room. the corridor is a public one so there is no way I could place anything in it. I had toyed with the idea of using something like Edimax which is fine if I were using a pc, but the problem is I would be using an android tablet. Also the two Edimax units I have only work with a wired connector. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Wireless repeater perhaps. Have an access point positioned closest to the corridor on one side and another inside one of those rooms. It should then serve both remote rooms adequately. Directional antenna on the repeater and access point could give you a good signal.

If the rooms are electrically on the same AC circuit you could use a home plug system to an access point.

I am assuming that they are and purchased a set of Edimax TP powerlink, but noted they require ethernet connection on each plug. problem is I would be using a asus tf300t tablet. if I could find a usb to ethernet adapter that would work with this tablet i might be on to a winner ;) All this depends on the rooms being on the same AC? All i can say is the rooms are part of the same downstairs block and are within 40 feet of each other (work).

Update: I have a plan. I will TP the nertwork to another room whereby I will pass an ethernet cable from the receiving TP and plug it in to a wireless extender. fingers crossed that they are on the same AC?
