Best Android fuel/mileage app?

Fuelio is what I use and have done for some time. It works just great.

I used to have FuelLog before it, but switched over due to the better interface and features for what I need.

FuelLog imo

I had a look at that but it hasn't been updated since 2011 and there were a few comments that it was now causing problems? Also I don't think it has external backup like fuelio.

I've always used fuelly.com, it's not an app but if you create a homescreen shortcut it pretty much acts as one.

I definitely want a phone based app but I did see aCar which is I think now owned by fuelly and will link to the website but only in the pro version. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zonewalker.acar

So far fuelio is still looking the best for me. Any tips or is pretty straightforward? I assume that you have to fill up every time for it to generate meaningful data rather than part fill?

FuelLog for me. Does the job, but as another poster commented, it doesn't have the most modern looking interface.

Used to use FuelLog, switched to Fuelio as the interface is much better and it even gets the occasional update!

Simple to use, brim the tank every time you fill up, enter the data into it, see the results.

"pro" version I believe has external backup. I haven't had any issues in the few months I've had it update wise.

Also seems to generate believable data from partial fillups, assuming you have the data from a few full fill ups around.

I admit I remember having trouble backing up Fuellog and transferring to my new phone. Did some manual copying of files in the end though.

Yeah Fuelio is pretty simple. If you forget to input the data for a fillup, then you simply click the box that says "missed previous fillup" during the current fillup entry and it does the rest. If you don#'t fill the tank one session, then just tick the partial fill box and it won't generate cersome data such as economy, but will tally up everything else.

It also has live sync to Google Drive for backups, so once you enable that feature, it's set and forget.

I used to use Fuelly but the lack of app irritated me. iOS have a decent Fuelly app but it's taking its sweet time getting to android. I've now switched to Fuelio :) Thanks for the recommendation!

Didn't realise there was an app. Very handy as I can update it when I fill up rather than looking for receipts when I remember.
