I'm a little lost when it comes to contracts, I'm looking but the best I can find is something like the ZTE Blade 3 which sucks and is a total rip off over 24 month contracts.

Lowest I can find for the Nexus 4 is £20 a month and a rubbish tariff, that's £480 over 24 months, which is disgusting as its more than twice the cost of the phone.

Need some help, there have to be better deals than this available.

Also looking at the Huawei Ascend P6, but not without dodgy cashback offers and largeish handset payments.

Well he would not have to take a 24 month contract if he did not want ot for a start. IF there are much better deals out there then how about posting some rather than picking holes.

erm he said 480 for 24 month contract and nexus 4 is disgusting so you literally walked into it :)

how is that any cheaper?

240-280 + 24x10ish = 480+

So there are only £10 SIM only deals at the minute?

Not only is there a FREE SIM deal offering fairly decent monthly allowances but 3 have a pretty good SIM only deal for £5.90 a month too.

I've got a Nexus 4 with 150 mins 250 texts 500mb data which would equate to £12 per month. £280 phone + £15 one off payment for SIM.

I think I've settled on the Huawei Ascend P6, storage is a bit low but at least there's an sdcard slot. It uses a custom chipset from huawei, looks on par with the Galaxy S3.

This isn't for me, it's for a 14 year old, personally I hate contracts, longest I keep a phone is a year.

Anyway it's £14 a month with O2 with either 100/200 minutes, unlimited texts and 100/250MB data and no upfront payment which I think is fairly good. unlimited texts being important as kids text allot.

I really don't understand these cashback deals, reading it looks like you have to request the cashback by contacting them at certain times during your contract which seems silly.

Not sure I would remember to be honest.
