MSE if you want free, Nod32 if you wanna buy--- of course others will have different views.

This. MSE seems to be more integral in Win 7 than in XP. Nod32 is the choice for a low system footprint though. Nod is the opposite of Norton/McAfee.

nod32 is ESET, and yeah they have 64bit and 32bit. it was my 1st choice until i ended up with 4 pc's in the house and now just use MSE as it was like £50 per year for 4 licences. If i only had one pc i would use Nod32
