I am currently running a ryzen 5 3600. I was looking to replace it and I was wondering if this would be a good CPU for gaming. It has a price of $250 at the moment, or maybe there is something near that price.

I'd personally be wanting to go to a 3060ti (around £430) or 6700XT (Around £380) as a minimum from a 2060.

You should see a nice uplift at 1080p.

You can then drop in a CPU upgrade like a 5600x/5700x/5800x at a later date.

I was running a 3600 and 3070ti quite happily before I upgrade to a 5800X3D. The 3600 is still more than capable.

i just upgraded from my trusty 3600 to a 5700x for more future proofing for mainly gaming and more grunt and im very happy with the performance on my tomahawk b450 max mainboard, both chips have 65tdp as well which meant i could reuse my cooler :)

edit: ohhh forgot to mention my graphics card is a amd sapphire pulse 5700 and i game at 1080p with 16 gig ddr4 3200 :)
