best benchmarking apps

what are the reccomended benchmarksing apps?

really i'm looking to see where my system is and start putting improvements in to see what happens.

areas of interest
HDD I/O
RAM
CPU

as i'm mainly going to be doing viedo editing and gaming on it.

Everest has some good benchmarking tools as with Sissoft Sandra

sandra and futuremark are my choices at the moment...

i didnt know there was a sandraXI, shall have a look thanks.

i assume the sandra version has the latest system setups and configs to compare against?

HDTach is pretty good for determining the average speed, the seek times and burst speeds if I remember correctly.

aida32 is ok for a full breakdown of your system (can't remember if there are any diagnostics though)
