best board 80-90 quid

Can't really see anything that'll be much better than your IP35. It would have to be a P45 based board, and it's just a slight evolution from P35.

my abit board is dead, cant find the cpu socket protector to return it to OCUK, so i need to get another board

who's best, asus or gigabyte? dont trust abit anymore

Ah.

Shame as Abits are usually pretty damn good.

As jbloggs says, have a look at the ASUS P5Q range.

Abit are very, very good. Send me an e-mail to my trust address and I'll send you a socket protector so you can RMA the board. If it's trashed, then you can at least get a new one to sell and defray the cost of your new Asus P5Q (which is what you will end up buying at that price-point).

Surely someone can loan you a socket protector??? Would save you cash on a new board.. Think i have a few at work even... They are not specific...
