I've got quite a few fun box sets for sheer impact.

I still like my Alien Quadrilogy head for sheer size. :D
Terminator Salvation Head *I bought it for the head, not the movie.*
Several suitcase styled ones. Bond, Blade Runner, Avengers...
Back To The Future Tin with Outatime license plate and much other goodies
Rocky Horror Lips
Indiana Jones big box. Never actually opened this one. Really should at some point.
Other half has the Harry Potter Wizards collection which is really quite cool. Shame the films are parp.
Star Wars Anthology isn't bad either.

Now, for best box set for viewing. Blade Runner. In fact... see you in a couple of hours. :D

Is this a thread about the best boxset ever made or the best serious ever made?

In terms of pure value of epic-ness, Band of Brothers is hard to beat. The packaging of the tin is great, lots of in depth behind the scenes.

In terms content and re-watch value, Friends, 10 seasons, 24 episodes. It would be a while even before you start again from Season 1. I picked up a copy on DVD for £20, then picked it up on HD in Bluray for £90.

In terms of packaging, where do I begin, forget Steelbooks, I think Evil Dead came in a book with fake human skin leather thing, Kill Bill 2 came in a coffin that Black Mumba was buried in. Gilmore Girls came in something padded with what looks like a serious of photo albums, Spiderman came in a shoebox size include a copy of a comic that Spiderman first appeared in with a film cell, Twilight came in a jewellery box thing.

One Christmas they were offering the remastered sharpe on bluray for £20. I thought it would come down in price so never got it (around £50 now). If I had, I reckon that or Band of Brothers.

The Babylon 5 boxset was probably the best value/best put together boxset I've ever bought though I do quick like the old Star Trek season sets even if they are quite bulky. It still annoys me that half the set is the old plastic boxes and the other half are the new slim-line versions.

LOTR Blu ray extended edition boxset is probably the best one, actually its the only boxset i have:p.

Will definitely buy the Hobbit boxset when it gets released on Blu ray, just hope its as good as the LOTR one that i have.
