Best budget mechanical keyboard with backlighting?

I'm looking to upgrade my current wireless keyboard with a backlit one and while I've been looking around I've been thinking that a mechanical one might be the way to go while I'm at it!

Thing is I don't want to be spending a fortune (maybe £50) and from what I've seen this seems to be pretty much the starting point for mechanical keyboards so I was wondering if there was a generally regarded "best buy" at this price point?

Thanks for any suggestions!

The other day I bought the steel series apex from game it's like £50.
It's not mechanical but seem to be well built and lots of extra keys for games.

looks the same as the apex 350 but I don't know what difference between the models.

And on my thread this mechanical one was recommended and it seems good as well.

Thanks for the replies - am I right in saying that both the one's linked to are US layouts though??

Most manufacturers only take one set of pics and we don't have the time to take pics of every UK layout keyboard we list.

If a keyboard is US layout it will say it in the product name and in the listing. Otherwise assume it is UK Layout.

I got a steelseries apex M800 in the sales.... Paid £79.99.

You can pick it up for a little more than that now, but well worth the extra. Best Mechanical i've used (but i appreciate everyone has different preferences on the "feel" of the switches).

Amazing value for money. Only downside is that you can only get it with MX black switches which mightn't be your first choice. Regardless it's still a million times better than membrane.

I have the previous version of this Ozone Strike without backlighting and have that Mionix one with backlighting as well - can't beat it for a solid, simple gaming keyboard absolutely swear by it for FPS gaming - but its not something I'd choose for a lot of typing on if I wasn't so lazy I'd swap it out when I wasn't gaming.

(Bought the Mionix when the price dropped a ton as a backup as I didn't want to be without a replacement should the Strike ever die and then a couple of weeks later the price went down again lol).
