Morning,

I’ve been looking through OCUK search to try and find a decent list of websites I can submit a C.V to but all I can seem to find is Monster which I’ve heard is pants!

Mainly I’m looking to get in to a Computer Support / Technical role. As I’ve decided enough is enough with working for Sainsbury’s. & that its time to move on and do what I went to college for and also to achieve something for myself

If anyone can give any links to known sites that do work and employers look at please post.

Thanks

I got loads of calls from my CV in monster. In fact i think the new place i started was through them.

Try also:
www.cwjobs.co.uk
www.jobserve.com

Remember that depending on your experience/qualifications, you won't always get a load of responses and you'll have to actively apply to jobs and call places as well.

Thanks for that oddjob, It's daunting doing this as ive been stuck with Sainsburys for 9 years (sad uh) yeah i'm willing to kick my ass in gear now and get a better job. its been 2 years since i left college need to mock up on some tech research and whatnot ofc i read ocuk forums every day :D.

When i was at college also i bought this book: A+ Comptia Fourth Edition which ive read and taken an A+ Hardware Core exam - Which i didnt pass :(

And preplogic now do viedo dvd's which i think would be better to learn from as i dont pick much up by reading.

Would this be a worthy investment?

goto

www.jobserve.co.uk

click on General Information then Recruiter Directory.

Here are a alist in alpha order of TI agencies that advertise, there are a few to look at. Id recomend for a 1st time starter looking at computer futures, computer people, Hays IT and if your stuck Badenoch & Clark.

Remeber as its your 1st contract, your not going in on top rates. Unless your very good and can prove this on your CV. It takes time to get your CV looking good, but stick with it, it will come.

Also, ring the agencies EVERY DAY, become a pain, they will get you work just to shut you up...

Hope it helps

I really hope the grammar in your CV is better than this post.

It’s a forum I don’t care if my grammar is pants; also dyslexia is a big issue for me. So if you have nothing constructive to post don’t bother to post at all.

Thanks to everyone that submitted websites for me to forward my C.V to i hope they will all be a big help.

Ill keep you updated on what happens

I have found that they ring me EVERY DAY, and it becomes annoying, i have ended up chosing a couple who seem to be interested in finding me the right job not any old job.

You should find an agency who want to work with you to find you the right job, not just send you to interview after interview in the hope one will hire you.
