Best camera phone for sub £250?

Hi

Huawei P20 Lite at the moment. Having some issues with battery life. Its about 2 years old so looking to get a new phone. What's the current best new camera phone out there for about £250? I'd like a bigger screen than the P20 if possible.

You are going to be hard pressed to find a phone in that price range to have BEST of anything let alone camera.

Have a search for sony XZ premium2 or XZ1 they both have good quality camera and large screen and very nice phones if you don't mind the screen not been edge to edge.

Sony xz1 is about £270 brand new.

Pocophone F1 with GCAM? Some impressive results going by YouTube if you don't mind the hassle.

Other than that, second hand market as people mentioned, Pixel 3a XL can be had for that from the red high street place that rhymes with sex.

The quality of photos from my P20 are fine. My missus has an Honor 8x and that's fine as well. I'm not looking for perfect pictures I just wanted to know which phone in that price range has the best camera.

I bought XZ1s for wife and I in about February when they were £200 on Amazon. The camera is pretty great, and I have no complaints other than Oreo update caused the home, back etc buttons to overlay on some apps. and the large top and bottom bezels are a bit extreme.

You can get Nikon D3500 with VR lens online for £279 if you don't mind grey imports. Blows any camera phone out of the water, but does need skill and knowledge to get the best out of it.
