Best Camera Under £150?

I want starts doing photography as a new hobby soon.
I will mainly want to be taking photos out nature and of people.
What brands should i be looking for?
How much memory should i buy?
Do you think a bigger budget will let me get a much better camera?(Not too much)

Help help would be great thanks.

Can a mod change the title to £150 please.

Its between a Panasonic FS7 and a Canon Ixus 100 IS or 95 IS i've been looking at digital compacts for around the same price.

The Canon is smaller and better looking, also shoots HD video, but the Panasonic is apparently better for photo quality and cheaper.

Im gonna go with the Panasonic

An 8GB card is more than good enough for starts

so have alook on there

I was having a look at the Fujifilm FinePix S1500fd do you think this alright.(it's about £140)

i wouldnt call that a compact, looks way way too big to fit in a trouser pocket.

Theres no point getting a camera with great picture quality if the size means you'll never feel like taking it out with you.

Get a proper compact, that really can go with you everywhere

I don't mind not having a compact due to the fact when I go out I normally have a bag with me.

looks a nice enough cam
the pany tz6 also has a 12x zoom and is pocket size

In my experience Fuji don't make bad cameras and even when they are not on top form, they still end up better than most. Deffo a trusted brand if thats the sort of camera you want...

If you can get the Ixus 100IS it is a fine camera.
