hey guys

I have a cm storm trooper and plan on getting two MSI cards in SLI, whats the best case with a window for this setup?

It needs to have a window and support a 240mm rad in the roof

Cheers guys

Yeh i know you can get the window panel for it, just not sure if offers enough cooling for twin frozr cards in sli

You wont know until you try I suppose. What's preventing you from buying the cards, testing them in the StormTrooper, and if it doesn't work to your satifsaction, get something like, a Carbide 500, 650D, or a Fortress FT02, or whatever is suppose to have better cooling performance.

Secondly, I'd always very carefully consider the need for multiple GPUs. They need good airflow / watercooling (heance a new case, which I'm not sure you need), they need more power, your available VRAM doesn't scale up, and some games don't like SLI / Crossfire that much, although nowadays they seem to be more rare.

I disagree about the games not supporting SLI, most games support SLI, even a game from like 12 years ago I played the other night supported SLI (which took me by surprise), the only games that don't support SLI are ones built on old engines which isn't very many these days.

However does money allow for an upgrade of one single card? If not then go for SLI, however I agree, more heat, more power.

well im waiting for the 700 series from nvidia, if they dont offer a lot more than ill pick up two MSI GTX670 PE cards

im liking the phantom 820, it seems to have more features and allows more cooling options and it can fit a 360 and a 240 without modding

I have 2 MSI GTX670 PE and they are nice cards but they do generate a bit of heat in SLI. I have a fairly aggressive fan profile set up to keep them under 70c in a HAF-X.

Also you cant get waterblocks for them which is annoying.

HAF X for a multi GPU build?

hey guys,

im looking for a case to house a new X79 rig with dual GPU's.

the case caught my eye as its a HAF case and the large 200mm window panel fan and the option for two 200mm fans in the top.

should i look at an other cases for my needs?

i will not be custom watercooling just using AIO coolers.

is anyone using this case with SLI or CF with custom coolers? e.g MSI TWIII,VAPOR-X,WF3 etc.. how well dose the case do at cooling them?
also can you fit bitfenix spectre PRO fans in this case? (the 200mm and the single 230mm)

cheers guys

sorry i did not see my other thread, i thought it got deleted or removed.....

thats a great looking build anthony, a lot of that spec is what im looking at getting :D

but a little changes etc

tribz that HAF is also very cool, liking the red glow near the HDD cages :D
