Best completely simple fullscreen slideshow software?

I'm looking for a small app which will do something completely simple - give me a fullscreen slideshow of a collection of images, with no captions or navigation, and allow me to set the time between the images, and have a nice dissolve between them.

I would have thought even Picasa or Live Photo Gallery would give me this, but they both seem to have limitations on times or transitions...

So, any suggestions?

OK. After a bit more looking, I realised that Irfanview will actually create a slideshow .exe which I can use to achieve what I wanted, so problem solved!

(It only has an alpha blend 'fade', but then that's what I wanted. If it had actual transitions, it would be superb!)

Sorry, I wasn't that clear. I'm referring to a slideshow on a PC which is hooked up to a projector.

Adobe Lightroom can do some pretty nice looking slideshows. But that may be a bit overkill

Ah yes - I was rather looking for free

Not least because I want to run the same thing on several PCs in several rooms hooked up to projectors. You are right, Lightroom would be overkill (and budgetkill)
