As a general rule of thumb, a PC that's being sold super cheap is pants for gaming. I think you'd find all of these quite disappointing and end up buying something else again after.

Even OCUK's absolute cheapest gaming prebuilt will utterly thrash all of the above: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-180-OK&groupid=43&catid=1445

Although to be fair, you may be able to get away with updating your existing rig rather than replacing completely. What hardware are you currently running? I'm sure some of the smart guys here can advise a sensible upgrade path :)

steer clear of those computers, you aren't going to get anything good for that 'price range'. Just save and get the cheapest prebuilt comp from ocuk, you'll be greatful you did in the long run.

lol

THESE ARE REALLY POWERFULL AS THEY HAVE HYPERTHREADING TECHNOLOGY INCREASES SPEED BY 30%

1 INTEL P4 HYPERTHREADING 3.4GHZ PROCESSORS = 4.5GHZ

WTF?

Id also like to agree with the abocve posts, if you can stretch your budget go with a ocuk built pc

lol i hardly call them competitive when everyone on here spends that just on ram,be good if the op says how much he has in totally then we can look at the options.;)

Firstly, you can't post links to Ebay, they're classed as competitors ;)

The one with the Nvidia 7950 is the best out of the lot of them for gaming and should run FS2004 fine. Don't expect it to run much from the last couple of years at high settings though. The guy selling it also appears to know what he's talking about, whereas the others seem to be trying to sell rubbish to mugs who can't be bothered to do any research.

As has already been said though, let us know what your current set-up is, and how much you can spend, and we'll see if we can give you a hand with upgrades :D

Read the FAQ, clearly states no competitor links, regardless if they aren't that competitive.

Unfortanely i don't know what the computer specs are on this computer plus it is a family one so i can't do nothing to it. I can probley spend no more than £200. If you see one within that will run fs2004 well please let me know.

Ouch. £200 is tight, maybe even too tight. Honest, best advice; if the PC you have is working but just slow, live with it a while longer, save more. £350-400 would see you with a decent value gaming rig.

Really can't advise spending the money you have, because whatever you get for it will be a disappointment. It's like buying a £500 car; sure it'll run, maybe make it until its next MOT, but it won't be smooth, it won't be fun, and it won't be satisfying.

Welcome to the forums :)

As stated earlier, 200 really isn't enough esp. if you're going to want to play FS2004 smoothly.

Maybe upping the budget to about 350-400 and getting 2nd hand good components and assembling it yourself.

yer i agree not a lot we can do with that amount, save up some more, better than going with what you listed in op and should keep you going longer.

Diehard FS2004 user here.

Simple fact is, OP, it isn't going to happen for that kind of money.

Earlier this year I spent £100 alone on an E3110 just to give me acceptable frame rates with the add-ons I use, and I use the lot - PMDG 747\737, Active Sky, Radar Contact, all the major payware airports - and even then with an E3110 @ 4ghz, if I go silly with the settings I can see frame rates in low single figures under certain circumstances.

FS2004 may be getting a tad old now, but as the addons mature, the more demanding it all becomes on your system.

Live with what you have now, and save up your cash - if you're serious about your flight simming then believe me it'll be more than worth it :)

Andy.

Yes, steer clear of those. An OCuk prebuilt system is the best option. Tbh i wouldnt even look at dell or anything now coz they are so poor at everything except reading email.

Not a FS2004 fan at all here, but I have to agree with the comments above. Try and save up a bit, it will make it a lot better. I can imagine the OCUk pre built systems being pretty good. You will enjoy the whole experience a lot more =)

I know saving up the money can be hard, but it will be worth it =)

Even if you want to build a system yourself, I'm sure plenty people here would be willing to help you out =)

I have found a old computer in my house which doesn't work. If i can get it to work again, Could i upgrade with the money i have to what i need? I may be able to do this depending on if my mum and dad will let me

Still don't think you'll have enough to be honest, you'll probably be looking at a new motherboard, new RAM, CPU and graphics card.

Seriously, just get saving up - I've gone down the route of making do and I was never satisfied until I saved my cash and spent money on the right kit.
