Best controller for young kids

So to preface this, my two children, 7 and 4, saw me trying out Overcooked: Gourmet Edition, and begged to have a go. They did, using my Xbox 360 controller, but my 4 year old especially struggled (both with the game and especially with the size of the controller).

Has anyone got any recommendations for smaller controllers that are ideal for younger children?

Preferably not that many buttons either as Overcooked only requires three other than the directional toggle (which could be a d-pad).

i dont own it just had a look for a small controller.

THanks, i've done a search as well was just wondering if anyone had first (second?) hand experience of their children playing with certain controllers that they would recommend.

i cant help bud sorry. looks as if its about the size of the old snes controllers.

My 4 year old is very happy using a DS4. Doesn't struggle with it at all.

No longer available, but there are others by the same company 'PowerA' I think.

It's quite a bit smaller. If you use it yourself and go back to a standard controller after a few minutes, the standard feels gargantuan!
