Best CPU Cooling for a good price

Titan Fenrir Evo can handle high overclocks very well and is about £35 if i remember. If you wish to spend a bit less then the Gelid Tranquillo is good aswell at £25.

I agree, and Fenrir does have plenty of out of the box performance for an air cooler, especially for not overly ambitious frequencies. Having said that, its design seems to only accommodate one fan - a draw back which Venom does not have, I believe.

I'd be tempted with one of these

Thermalright IFX-14

I'm currently using the Thermalright Ultra 120 with just one fan... but this cooler - coupled with 3 fans would probably cool down just about anything you mount it onto...

Obviously fan costs need to be taken into consideration but that does look like a good cooler to me :)

Isn't it similar in design to thermalright silver arrow. I think op has amd system whereas this cooler seems to be intel compatible only.

Oh right - my bad - so many people on here with intel systems I don't even check that any more - sorry lol

but yes, it is similar to the silver arrow

Try the Scythe Ninja 3
Or here's the AMD version of the IFX-14

custom pc say the the thermaltake frio is the best cooler that they have ever tested so that probably a good cooler. Ive also heard good things about corsairs enclosed water cooling loops like the h50 and the h70 but these aren't budget coolers and will set you back quite a bit.

Yeah, I'm getting really tempted to invest in an H70 both for cooling and aesthetic reasons - I think they look great :) Plus it'd match my RAM/PSU lol

They obviously havn't tested many if it was the best one they had.
I'm not saying it's bad but it's far from best.

Also the corsairs aren't much better than the high end air coolers ( if not a bit worse than some ) but then that depends on the kind of case and airflow you have. Obviously in a small case with no airflow, corsair would be superrior but if you have a good case then most of the high end air coolers probably will be better.
