How do you know what the cpu will clock to if you dont have it yet?

Afaik the recent KAB1E OEM 4000+ have been clocking really well, I wouldn't rule them out unless it is a budget issue.

Used to have a 3000+ Venice and seen guys reach same on motherboard! Its just a estimate ;) :)

Ok mate but remember thats the few that do that some will hit a wall at 2.3ghz

All down to luck at the end of the day but I think most of the latest AMD chips clock really well. I dont think you will be disappointed with any of them.

pretty much all the opty's clock well but wether they are worth the extra is another question. I would say no having owned 148,165 and 170. Stick with the cheapest m8

go for the 4000+ san diego, they are pretty much all clocking to 3.0ghz and higher on air...these will be the last chips you can get so pick them up from here for about £80...these will go past fx-57 speeds easily. Mine is at 3 Ghz on 1.35v, and i havent even bothered to go further yet :)

I wouldn't bother with an opteron I'm gonna sell my 144 when I get time to install my 4000+ KAB1E 0626 and quite a few have hit 3ghz with 3700+, but a 4000+ is more or less guaranteed.
