Hello, i am currently running a rx 9060 xt with a Ryzen 5 3600, i am looking to upgrade the CPU to get rid of the bottleneck, which one would suit best?

What resolution are you running at out of interest, and I assume this is just for games?

Regardless, you have two options really.

You can get the 5500X3D for around £150, but it might require you to import from a certain Chinese website, or alternatively you could get a cheap 5600 for £80-100 or under.

The 5500X3D will be much superior for gaming, especially at 1080-1440P.

Either should function fine with your existing HSF/motherboard if they're happy running a 3600 (you will potentially need to update your motherboard bios for either to work), although if you have a stock cooler on the 3600 it'd be worth spending a tenner or so on something like this:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £15.98 (includes delivery: £3.99)

That said, are you certain you're bottlenecking/having problems related to your CPU? The 3600 isn't a terrible match for a 9060XT but I can certainly see situations where a faster CPU would benefit (moreso the X3D).

Yes i am running the PC for gaming and its at 1440p, thankyou for the suggestions.

What game/situation are you seeing a bottleneck?

Some games really benefit from the X3D CPU's but if you are pegged at 100% GPU usage you won't see a beney

It does also depend on the games you play to an extent with the 5500X3D, although even in general it's going to be a bump in performance.

If you play MMO's like WoW it'll help hugely, CoD loves them too for minimum frames which increases consistency and can benefit multiplayer a lot, X4 style titles from the likes of Paradox especially such as Stellaris or CK2 again benefit massively.

Worth considering if you only really play certain games/genres as the extra £50 or so will be very well spent.
