best cpu thermal paste

MX2 is supposed to slightly better then AS5 but it's a bitch to spread as it's fairly thick if you prefer to use the spreading method

using arctic ceramique here, noticed only the smallest difference in temperatures compaired to when i used AS5, plus its not conductive

I dont know why but Ive tried a good few tim's such as shin-etsu microsi's, ac mx's, coollabs liquid pro and I keep going back to my trust tube of as5.

As5 plus kit for me and have some of that Zalman stuff to try when I've finished my tube. I know someone who uses that copper thermal grease that you used on your brake back plates and swears by it.

NOCTUA!!! There is no 'R'

/rant :p

My vote for the lovely MX2 keeping my cpu and 8800gt nice n cool.

It works.

It doesn't work I've tried it a long time ago, it dries out in a couple of minutes and your temps will be in the sky in no time.

Even without overclocking, at least on an Athlon xp 2500+ mobile...couple years ago gave it a shot because everyone was ranting about it...turns out to be a load of tosh and the rumour kept on spreading.
