My new rig didnt come with an SSD, so in the market for one, whats the current, best option out there? In my rig im about to sell, I ran 2 120gb intel 330s, they performed nicely, but is there one out there that is significantly better or are they all relatively the same?
thanks guys!
currently looking at an OCZ agility 3, as i can pick up a 60gb brand new for about 35 quid, and I have a 1tb hdd so I dont need tonnes of space anyway.
Cheers!

if you want the best then go for a Samsung 840 pro,

the ocz agility will probably fail within a few months of using it,id choose a corsair force gt 60gb over that as its more reliable

i dont know like, I had OCZ's in my old rig for a good year and i know personally they are still doing well.

But thanks for the advice, is the 830 any good?

For me personally I love my crucial M4. Would buy another tomorrow. Alternatively I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Samsung or Intel. Can't really back up why, just in my personal opinion they are to me the most reliable drives.

I`ve installed lots of M4s, plenty of 830s and a fair few 840s (only 250GB non-pros). All good, and you can hardly tell any difference between them in everyday use.

The best drive, if you are looking at pure performance is the 840 pro. The best drive if you are looking at value for money must be the 840 non pro. I'm sure Intel drives are also good, but my only experience is with my old X25M 80gb, which performed well. It did fail after nearly 3 years of use though, but I believe they were reliable drives overall.

Got a standard 250gb samsung 840 here, very impressed with it. After having two ocz's fail on me, ill be avoiding them in future.
