Best defrag software?

I use Perfect Disk 2008 myself, its not free thou but it does what i need, and the support from Raxco seems very good, had a issue with Vista x64 boot time defrag they were quick to respond and fix the issue, on the whole its a good app

you can download a trial of the software

Disktrix Ultimate Defrag for me, not free but extremely good.

Agreed. The program is ideal for the power user as its the only software that'll let the user choose what goes where on the disk. The website and associated sales spiel is pretty offputting, as is the GUI to some extent. But get beyond that and you have the most powerful defragger out there....

;)

I use Disktrix Ultimate Defrag and must admit its the best one I've come across to date. I also have Defraggler and JKDfrag on the system depending if I need a quick defrag or a full defrag which disktrix does.

I think I have used pretty much every defrag utility out there, but Perfectdisk is the best in my opinion.

Auslogics is very good espically for freeware. But the best of the best out there is O&O. I use the COMPLETE/NAME method for my windows drives and then COMPELTE/ACCESS for the games. I usually use Auslogics to do minor defrag but then use O&O to reorginazine the drive.

Have tried most of the free one's, but got to say Perfectdisk 10 is a good piece of software put it on auto and Bob's your Aunty you just forget about it. It's been running for 3 months with no prob's at all.

O&O is available as a 30 day jobbie yes.

v10 was fowl but v11 has made up for it.

v8.5 does not work with Vista, but v8.6 and above do.

There are 4 basic versions

Server or Non Server and 32 or 64Bit
