Best deframenters?

currently i am using the standard windows one and perfectdisk (which runs out in 27 days )

are there any good or even better ones, preferably free?

and is it okay to use one of them, say the standard windows one, then straight after use the perfectdisk? it won't mess up the previous defrag or anything?

I think the one that comes with XP is a cut down older version of Diskeeper so it shouldn't be too bad at what it does. Occasionally it's nice to do an offline defrag but it's no great loss.

have tried diskeeper 9 and perfectdisk and def think perfectdisk is better and worth the money / download

Never needed to buy one, occassionally (rarely) run windows own one, have my page file on a separate drive though which might help a little.

Seriously though unless your moving hundreds of thousands of files daily there's no need, you'll just waste your time.

Perfect disk is best i think.
