The amount of people who still go by specs rather than owning them and actually doing a proper side by side comparison is alarming. Granted, not everyone can afford to swap phones often but photos when viewed on a high end monitor the 5x easily holds its own against the s6 and g4.

Yep on the whole I found the 5X to be fantastic, I was just gutted the plastic started to discolour else I would have kept it. I think it was always going to struggle if you started comparing specs for the price as other devices that had come out earlier were starting to have their prices slashed. As for ips instead of oled, admittedly I've never used an oled device so may not know what I'm missing but I thought the screen on the 5X was excellent.

I guess I can't say whats best as I've only used one device, the G4 does seem superb for the money but I think I'd deduct points for the design, I know that may not be as important as specs to some but I think looks matter to a degree.
