Best dongle?

Hi all, just moved into my new place. I need a WiFi internet connection but I don't want package internet with phone line and tv etc so wad thinking of getting a dongle? I don't use the internet much but using on my phone is doing my head in. I'd prefer not to be tied to a contact and I'm happy to do 'pay as you go' internet if available.
Anyone have any ideas of who I should go with?

I think that on all the providers' websites they have a section where you type in your postcode and it gives you the signal strength in your area. May be worth doing this to see who'll give you the best coverage.

I recommend Three as you have a couple of masts close to your location.

I don't know if you game online but mobile broadband isn't really suitable for that purpose.
