I have been using a Pacific DVD player that is coming to the end of its life. I am looking for a replacment under £40 inc delivery that will play DIVX, AVI and all the normal stuff.

I have seen one that also supports usb so can just plug in my 1gb mem stick and play films off that.

Anyone got any recomendations for this as this DVD player is used loads in the house.

This is what I have seen but never heard of the make???

You've also got problem of subs playback (graphics and text) plus ogg audio (audio files and video with ogg audio) then problems with packed bitstream lip sync.

Got a decent Mpeg-IV player but it still has problems. HTPC far wider codec/compatibility.

Or Xbox360 with TVersity instaled on PC. You won't get that for £40. You could get old Xbox with Media software installed (don't ask me how but I know you can). You could find all that for £40.

730p/1080p H264 playback? Don't think the Xbox has fast enough cpu for that. And can't upgrade to BR/HD-DVD.
