Best Esata External

Im looking for a 1TB external hdd witgh estata and usb connections. What ones do you think are the best value for money?

Personally I bought an Icybox enclosure and a 1tb drive separately, paid a premium of only about £6 over a similar spec enclosure and gives me the freedom to swap out the drives at a later date if desired

but is it safe to use as there is no fan so will the hdd overheat?

It takes a lot of effort to make an HDD overheat so there's no need for a fan. In that IcyBox dock the drive is mainly exposed anyway.

Do icybox do a esata and usb3 version? I'm thinking of using esata for now and then I can easily upgrade in the future without having to buy anything.

OC seem to only have esata with USB 2 from Icybox. the 390StUSD-B look since since you can dock it into your PC when desired
