Honestly? No I wouldn't, I'd have the Audi - however
That Mondeo seems vastly overpriced
I don't need the extra space the Mondeo gives, an a4 isn't really much bigger than a focus, especially for family plus stuff - the Mondeo is huge
I don't really care if it breaks, which it probably will. (Look up timing chain tensioner for later and high pressure fuel pump issues for earlier cars for a start) in several niggling ways
I don't mind paying Audi/BMW servicing costs
I dont mind paying Audi/BMW parts prices
Chances of finding a reasonable, well looked after Mondeo for tne money are reasonably high - the a4 I highly doubt as I looked at 2.0t cars at the start of the year and thought I needed at least £10k for decent kit, history and an all round good example
I don't care if I can buy a newer, likely more reliable, better kitted out car for the same money if I've already decided I just like a particular model
