probably been done a thousand times but just been chatting on ts and reminiscing a bit

mine has to be Goldeneye on N64 and nba jam on snes

goldeneye as we just played it to death on a 32" sony vega tv (crt), plus the single player was so immersive

nba jam cos we rented it every other week from local video shop

modern games in all honesty havent had as much of an impression, even kevin toms football manager saw more attention span than current stuff

to all you old farts and even young chickens... whats your fave?

*forgot Actua Soccer on ps1.... "Stoichkovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv" pants game in a way but was a step ahead at the time

agree as we was saying about RE how the dogs jumping thru the windows.... **** myself lol (I remember the missus laughing her head off)

My most played and remembered game has got to be streets of rage :D

Why you may ask ........well 2 player co-op was ACE imo or was it just me :)
Completed it that many times i lost count if only they could do a hd remake and online co-op obviously :D

Super Mario World.

I could play it right now and it'd be as good as I thought it would. I still play it quite often, dig the SNES out for a bash, and the only game I always end up ploughing time into is SMW.

I have to say it...Its pretty much the Cliche answer I'm sure but

Final Fantasy 7

Why? Storyline was great, Gameplay top notch, characters throughout the game, not just the main ones, were well planned out and they had backstory. World map, enemies, exploration, levelling up and using materia. It was all done perfectly.

The game was so in sync, everything worked together so well, it just became an instant classic for myself and I'm sure most others that played

thanks for the responses, was awaiting this to be shot down in flames lol

like the title, its what it means to you, the fact that certain games stick in our minds is a testament to their quality and I doubt many modern games could really last that test (bar a very select few)

Goldeneye without a Doubt comes first as it was the only reason I bought an N64.
Reason for my Love of Goldeneye was the First real scoping & a taste of what was to come.

On the 360 I'd say Forza2 as it just has so much depth & is like a Dream come true in that fantasy world of a gamers mind.

I'll have to say Final Fantasy VII, when I play it, it just reminds me of a certain part of my life (11 years ago!). I love the way the musical score and story line are so memorable. Probably the game that got me into RPGs, I don't think I'd played one before it.

For me it will always be Mario 64. It was a huge jump over everthing that came before!

I remember the first time I ever played it, I was just sat playing with Marios head on the intro screen for ages :D

It also nailed the 3D platformer camera so well!

Goldeneye would be a close second, I must have put 2 years into the 4 player split screen back in the day! Awesome single player to boot ;)

Such a difficult question this, it's either Goldeneye, Mario Kart64 or Gran Turismo 1. We put so much time into the multiplayers it was unbelievable :P

Honourable mentions for Tekken 3 and Soul Calibur!

^^
also agree with FF VII even now I can still play that game over and over, it just has something magical about it that a lot of others don't, the right music characters and world, it's fantastic.

Speedball 2 on the Amiga...

Spent so many Nights as a teen trying to max all my players and win the league.. Brings back some fun memorys playing it again on the 360..

Shining Forces 3 on the Saturn. Pity they didn't release the two later episodes outside of Japan.

Re Goldeneye while it was great when released it aged very bady compared to lots of the other N64 games (Zelda, Conkers Bad Fur day, Mario64)
