Currently I have a 120GB SSD and a 500GB Hard Drive, both Sata on my other system, but will soon be getting a 250GB Kingston SSD to replace the 500GB Hard Drive.

Can anyone recommend an affordable yet speedy External Caddy that I can still play big games from such as my modded Skyrim?

Thank you :)

any good 2.5" external caddies that are transparent or have a window to show the drive inside?

Look on today's B grade stock clearance post
I believe there's some external storage stuff on there though not looked
So unsure what exactly is going

I find external caddies tend to run down the drives faster than plugged into PC. This is most likely due to lack of software management.

I had a 3TB in an icybox and another in a NAS. The NAS one lasted for ages dispote being on more. The external one developed bad sectors bang on 3 years.

Not sure how detrimental SSD in caddies will be. I got one atm. So hopefully it will last.
