Best External drive for backups

Currently looking at a 500GB Freecom Hard Drive Pro (USB2 and eSATA)

this would be to store my backups, motherboard has eSATA connector

Anyone used these or would recommend different

cant go far with the freecom,i have 3 exteranal drives,1 western book and 2 freecoms and i got to say not had one issue with the freecoms were the western digital plays up quite often
