Best external for around £100?

As title really, i'm thinking of getting an external hard drive for backups etc.

Got around £100 to spend.

I've heard Lacie are one of the best?

What type of interface are you after?

NAS, eSATA, USB or Firewire?

WD MyBook pro 500GB, they are less than £100 and come with 3 years warranty. USB, USB2, Firewire 800 you cant ask for more

Nice one, might get that as I was looking for a USB2 one but also have a fireward PCI card I could connect if it meant faster transfers.

Everyone else recommemnd these?

I have the esata version. The esata is very fast, now most of the data is on there I use the usb connection. Recommended, if a tad noisy.

You can buy Firewire 800 PCI cards if you want to upgrade your machine.
