Best/Fastest 3TB+ drive?

Looking for a 3TB+ drive for working with photos, are there any particular drives that stand out for this purpose?

The fastest 3TB drive seems to be the Toshiba unit as a max speeds stated but the black drives can handle the smaller files much much faster. The problem is they cost a fortune and are technically EOL (new drives coming soon). Id look at a Seagate for the time being.

Yeah Im thinking about replacing my old WD Black 640gb with a 1 -2TB WD Black, but if its worth waiting, I will. Any idea when?
