My dad is looking at a 911 c4 conv 2002, he is looking at insurance at the moment, we have tried confused and the cheapest we have found is 1k.

Now i konw the gtr Manchester postcode wont help, so does anyone know the best places to look for insurance and will specialists be cheaper.

Thanks.

dont use confused, or if u do just go onto the actual sites it lists and do a quote, will work out cheaper

try admiral they seem to be a very good insurer atm

Other than that what about the back section of a Porsche mag?

Yeah was thinking that, will give the link a try, he is thinking of moving and where he is moving to the quote drops to £600 with tesco, damm manchester postcode.

Jesus christ, confused ?????. What a sham dont bother with them they are overpriced cr**, try adrian flux or greenlight. In other words proper brokers that dont advertise on tv.

If Greenlight cant beat a TV insurer i will eat my hat

Quick q, if he didnt protect his no claims therefore saving himself £100-150, if he then crashed would he lose all his ncd or just two years?

Have you tried porsche insurance ?

Thats who my dads 911 C4 is with.

No, my dad currently had a bmw, we tried a quote with bmw for insurance and it was one of the highest. :(

Will try it though. :)

It might vary between insurers, but for Admiral:

Code:
NCB at last	No Claims Bonus at next renewal date
renewal date	1 Claim 2 Claims	3 Claims
---------------------------------------------------------
1 Year Nil Nil Nil
2 Years Nil Nil Nil
3 Years 1 Year Nil Nil
4 Years 2 Years Nil Nil
5 Years 3 Years 1 Year Nil

It might be that they stop counting extra years NCB after 5 years, not sure

It does look like you loose 2 years NCB for making a claim though

The best idea would be to phone the insurers and ask

He is with first alternative at the moment, we did an online quote and they said ring for a quote = expensive. He will ring and see how much it is to change his car for the remainig 2 1/2 months.

Hopefully in 2 1/2 months he wont be in Gtr Manchester for long and so may only have to pay rip off insurance for a couple more months.

The car in question. :)
