Best for specialist insurance

My dad is looking at a 911 c4 conv 2002, he is looking at insurance at the moment, we have tried confused and the cheapest we have found is 1k.

Now i konw the gtr Manchester postcode wont help, so does anyone know the best places to look for insurance and will specialists be cheaper.

dont use confused, or if u do just go onto the actual sites it lists and do a quote, will work out cheaper

try admiral they seem to be a very good insurer atm

Tried Admiral they were 1.5k

Tesco are the leaders so far :eek:

Jesus christ, confused ?????. What a sham dont bother with them they are overpriced cr**, try adrian flux or greenlight. In other words proper brokers that dont advertise on tv.

If Greenlight cant beat a TV insurer i will eat my hat

Best bet is probably a few Porsche owners club sites, they may have discounts setup with insurers / brokers. I know SXOC do for 200's...

Yeah he has 12yrs ncd.

Found it for £840 with swiftcover, added another £140 for protected ncd. :rolleyes:

Edit sainsburys £820 and add £93 for protected ncd. :rolleyes:

Ok u will, ring the ones i said above especially Greenlight on Tuesday, You tell them what was offered i bet they will beat it 01277 26 30 30.

Privilege quoted me 633 on my Leon FR and Greenlight insured me for 550

Quick q, if he didnt protect his no claims therefore saving himself £100-150, if he then crashed would he lose all his ncd or just two years?

Thats who my dads 911 C4 is with.

Havent a clue mate, im not protected as i havent got 4 years. I dont think u lose the lot just a %, depending on what you have.

No, my dad currently had a bmw, we tried a quote with bmw for insurance and it was one of the highest.

Will try it though.

It might be that they stop counting extra years NCB after 5 years, not sure

It does look like you loose 2 years NCB for making a claim though

The best idea would be to phone the insurers and ask

He is with first alternative at the moment, we did an online quote and they said ring for a quote = expensive. He will ring and see how much it is to change his car for the remainig 2 1/2 months.

Hopefully in 2 1/2 months he wont be in Gtr Manchester for long and so may only have to pay rip off insurance for a couple more months.
