Best Formatting Tool?

Guys,

Looking for a cd iso that will format my drive properly.

Passing the drive onto a mate and dont want him trying to retrieve any of my data with freebie tools on the web.

Anyone any ideas?

preferably bootable

Check the HDD manufacturer's website. All the major players have their own HDD tools which include formatting and diagnostics.
